The case in point is the 2016 Pulse massacre in Orlando. The trial of assailant Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, which ended March 30, demonstrated conclusively that anti-gay bias had nothing to do with Mateen’s motivation. But will the New York Times and other media outlets apologize?
